Meet Coal, a 2 year old Black Lab who is not letting life slow her down despite recently becoming a tripod (3-legged) dog!

She is incredibly affectionate, gentle, and smart. She loves to be near people but will also give you the space you need. She is potty trained and knows basic commands like Sit and Stay. She will go into her playpen when needed and overnight, with no complaints.

She is so patient and well-mannered. She loves belly rubs, sitting outside with you for that whiff of fresh air, and walks.

Coal has so much love to give, despite everything shes gone through, and will make a very special addition to a home thats ready to welcome her!

THIS dog is NOT in the shelter. For dogs in foster care, you MUST submit an application via EMAIL to smpetfinder@gmail.com. Please note in the email subject which dog you are interested in.

The more information you provide, the faster the process is for all of us. Once you are approved to adopt, we will schedule an appointment to see the dog in person.

Adoption Fees:

Before our dogs are available for adoption, they will always be spayed/neutered, vaccinated (Distemper, Parvovirus, Bordetella, Rabies as much as age-appropriate), stool sample checked for parasites, and dewormed.

Adoption fee for our dogs is $375, $40 for a microchip and registration and $50 for a 6 month supply of heartworm preventative.
