Blossom is a sweet, playful, fun-loving and athletic 1+ year-old female Black Lab mix who’s ready to find her very own forever family.  She’s a happy, affectionate dog who loves to please her humans and is already well on her way with basic obedience. She walks well on leash and loves car rides. Blossom is learning to control her excitement (like little happy hops!) and responds beautifully to treats, praise, and routine, older kids recommended.

She thrives with structure and enjoys activities that keep her mind busy — such as “find it,” “look at me,” short training games, and food puzzles with hidden treats. And bonus: she is incredibly gentle when taking treats. Blossom has become a pro at outings — she loves the downtown market, settles perfectly at your feet during lunch, hikes like a champ, and enjoys games of fetch and tug. She’ll politely insist on head pets to remind you she’s your number-one girl. Tell her “out of the kitchen,” and she listens! She’s also an amazing, sound sleeper.

Blossom is a social girl, but appreciates polite manners — she’s not a fan of people or dogs getting right up in her face. Think of her as a “respect my personal bubble” kind of lady. Give her a proper hello and she’ll happily be your adventure buddy. She would do wonderfully in a home with another friendly dog and with adopters who enjoy training, adventures, and building a strong bond. Blossom does have a high prey drive for squirrels, so a small-animal-free home is best.
