Labrador Retriever Dogs Available for Adoption

Kane is a big, handsome boy with an even bigger heart.

Kane is a 10-month-old male Labrador Retriever mix with a beautiful brown and silver coat, currently weighing 57 pounds—and still growing. He’s already shown himself to be a social, people-loving pup who enjoys being part of the action.

At his first adoption event, Kane was an instant favorite. He happily showed off his best skills: sitting politely for pets, soaking up belly rubs, and greeting both people and dogs with friendly enthusiasm.

In his foster home, Kane is doing very well. He is crate trained, goes outside to take care of his business, and gets along nicely with other dogs—especially those his size or larger. He’s also respectful around an older, smaller dog in the home.

Kane’s easygoing nature and affectionate personality make him a great fit for many types of households. He has not been tested with cats.

**Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **
