General Notes | Bodhi is a very easy going, sweet, well behaved boy. He's calm and relatively low energy, but can get spurts of energy brought on by the excitement of people coming over and or when he's feeling playful. That said he's easy to manage and redirect as he's very treat motivated and well trained. Bodhi worked with a professional trainer and knows quite a lot: go to place, down stay, sit, lay down, leave it, turn, and is great on leash - he doesn't pull, get too excited, and checks in frequently.
Bodhi enjoys meeting other dogs, especially off leash. He loves going to our neighborhood dog park and the Westminster open space and running around saying hi to all the other dogs. And while he's usually nice greeting other dogs on leash, there's been a handful of times it hasn't gone well so we don't make a habit of it. Bodhi is mostly looking to coexist rather than play, he's great at breweries and out about because he generally ignores other dogs - even if they're barking at him. We do not know how Bodhi would be living with another dog, or having dogs in his space. Our friends dog is a pushy bernedoodle who came to our house twice...the first two times they coexisted and didn't play together; the second time they were OK until the bernedoodle kept pesting Bodhi and they got into a scuffle...we haven't been at our house or someone else's with a dog since, but that was a long time ago. Bodhi has also been indoors around cats and while he's curious, he's not aggressive and I think he would ignore the cat once the novelty wore off.
Bodhi absolutely loves people. He loves attention from everyone and would have cuddles and pets all day everyday if he could. While we haven't been around a ton of children, he's super happy to have very small through teen aged kids pet at him at the park, at breweries, on walks, etc. We think with his sweet nature and love for people he would do just find with kids - the only thing I would caution is with toddlers he could knock them over when he gets excited.
Bodhi is crate trained and likes his crate. When we leave him home alone he goes in the crate happily and stays for up to 5 hours - he doesn't seem to like being left home alone with free reign as he can't settle or relax that way. We don't crate Bodhi at night, he sleeps in his dog bed on the floor.

Personality | Are you ready to adopt the most perfect dog ever? Meet Bodhi! He is fabulous with other dogs, super social with all humans (including foster family's 5 and 7 year olds), and just wants to get pets from and play with everyone! Very confident and happy lab, who loves to work for treats.
Story | he came from a shelter in Arkansas, where everyone loved him and his sweet demeanor. We aren't sure of much of what happened before that, but he is healthy and happy, so we imagine he's been loved his whole life!
Other Dogs | the shelter said he was great with other dogs.
Cats | unknown
Children | he loves children! Very patient and gentle, and is respectful of not jumping on them. He's like a big teddy bear and loves hugs and to give kisses to them.
Training | he came knowing no commands, but quickly is picking up sit, no/off, and crate. Lets you know when he needs to go out and sleeps in his crate all night. Rides well in the car as well.
Leash | doesn't pull! Loves to go out and explore and go for walks.
Activity Level | low-moderate - he has the fastest zoomies out in the yard, but is perfectly happy to be your lazy buddy, too! Would make a great camping and hiking buddy - he's truly up for whatever you want to do, as long as he can be by your side!
Health Notes | currently finishing treatment for Ehrlichia infection; vet said very healthy otherwise. All vaccines/deworming up to date
