Meet Athena 🌟🐶

Athena is a 2-year-old Lab whose strength and sweetness are nothing short of remarkable. She was found as a pregnant stray after being hit by a car and taken to a shelter, where it was discovered she had a broken pelvis. Despite her injuries and pain, Athena gave birth to her puppies and devoted herself to caring for them—even while struggling to walk.

Athena and her puppies were scheduled to be euthanized, but Pep’s Pals Rescue stepped in and saved the entire family. Athena went on to have surgery and has now fully healed. Even better, all of her puppies have found wonderful homes, and now it’s finally Athena’s turn to be the one spoiled and loved.

Why She’s the Perfect Companion

Athena truly is the most perfect dog. She is sweet, gentle, and loving with everyone she meets. Above all, Athena is incredibly affectionate; she is a true "sidekick" who loves nothing more than being right by your side. Whether you're moving from room to room or settling in for the evening, she'll be there to offer a nudge of her head and a wag of her tail. She gets along beautifully with kids, cats, and other dogs, making her an easy addition to almost any family.

Her Adorable Quirk

She also has a charming little habit—Athena loves to collect shoes. Don’t worry, she doesn’t chew or ruin them! She simply gathers them and keeps them near her like treasured belongings, often creating a little pile of footwear to nap next to while she waits for her favorite human.
