Duke Adonis is a 2-year-old male who is truly a wonderful dog. He is gentle, calm, and incredibly sweet, with a personality that makes him easy to love from the start.
When Duke first began going on walks, he pulled slightly on the leash, but once he became comfortable, he mellowed out completely. He now walks beautifully, does not pull, and does not try to approach people he passes. He is quiet and well-mannered, rarely barking unless he is playing or letting someone know he needs to go outside.
Duke is perfectly house-trained. He does not chew on furniture or belongings and does an excellent job waiting to go to the restroom. He will usually let someone know when he needs to go, especially when it is time to poop. On several occasions, Duke has been let outside off leash just to go potty, and he did perfectly every time. He went straight to the grass, took care of business, and immediately came back without trying to wander off.
He is wonderful with other dogs. Duke has been around a small, very energetic dachshund puppy and was incredibly patient and gentle during playtime. He can be playful and enjoys walks and playing fetch, but he also loves his downtime and naps. He has even developed a bit of a diva side and prefers to sleep in a bed.
In the car, Duke prefers to sit up front and remains calm, happily looking out the window during rides. Duke Adonis would make an incredible companion for the right family and is sure to bring so much love into a lucky home.
