Meet Mia

Mia is a 2-year-old, 44-pound Lab mix with a gentle heart and an incredible story of survival. She was heartbreakingly found abandoned at a dump in the bitter cold with her puppies, doing everything she could to protect them. Thanks to a kind Good Samaritan, Mia is now safe — but she’s still waiting for a foster or forever home so she can officially make her way into rescue and start the life she deserves.

Despite everything she’s endured, Mia remains sweet, loving, and good with other dogs. She has a calm, grateful spirit and the kind of quiet resilience that makes you fall in love instantly.

Mia also has microphthalmia (a congenital eye condition), believed to be present since birth. Her eye is being medically addressed, and when she’s all healed, she’ll be the cutest little one-eyed pirate you’ve ever seen — a perfect reminder of just how strong and special she is.

What Mia needs most now is a safe place to land — someone willing to foster or, even better, give her the forever home she’s been waiting for. After surviving abandonment and cold nights alone, she deserves warmth, love, and a family who will never let her go again.
