Meet Star!
Star is a bright-hearted, loving little girl whose personality truly shines. She adores everyone she meets and has never met a stranger — from the very first hello, she’s ready to be your best friend.
In her foster home, Star loves playing with her siblings and confidently keeping up with the bigger dogs, too. She’s especially fond of stuffed toys and anything that squeaks — those are her absolute favorites! When playtime winds down, you’ll find her doing what puppies do best: curled up for a cozy nap.
Star is wonderful with kids and enjoys cuddling on the couch for Bluey time, or settling into her dog bed nearby so she can stay close to her people. She has the perfect balance of playful puppy energy and snuggly sweetness, making her an easy fit for a variety of homes.
Star and her siblings came to us after their pregnant mama wandered onto a rural farm and gave birth. Thanks to the kindness of the family who helped her, their mama has since been spayed and now enjoys a happy life on the farm — and now it’s Star’s turn to find her own loving forever home.

This dog is being fostered in Texas and is available to travel north on our scheduled trips, which occur at least twice a month.
We encourage adopters to read profiles fully and reach out with any questions — we are always happy to help. Inquiries through the site are not always coming through. Important information:
• We cannot do meet-and-greets. The trip is long and demanding, and it would not be safe or fair for a dog or puppy to travel north and then return to Texas.
• No deposits are accepted.
• All adoption fees are paid in person at pick-up.

Pickup schedule:
• Friday evening: Herculaneum, Collinsville, Springfield, Bloomington/Normal
• Saturday: Oglesby, Roscoe, Sun Prairie, Fond du Lac
Additional notes:
• Green Bay area adopters meet in Fond du Lac
• Joliet & Davenport area adopters meet in Oglesby or Roscoe
• Milwaukee area adopters: we do not have a Milwaukee stop, but we do stop in Sun Prairie, Fond du Lac, and Roscoe (near Rockford)
Medical & Spay/Neuter Information:
Most puppies travel with two rounds of vaccines, and sometimes three. Occasionally, we may not have had a puppy long enough for a second round.
Puppies under 6–8 months of age are not spayed or neutered. Spaying or neutering is a required condition of adoption and must be completed by the puppy’s first birthday, at the adopter’s expense. Out-of-state surgery costs are not included in the adoption fee.

About Our Rescue
Atlanta Texas Area Spay Neuter Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Adoption proceeds go directly toward:
• Spaying and neutering dogs for low-income families in Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana
• Medical care for rescued puppies and dogs
• Emergency veterinary assistance for families in need when possible
All dogs remain in Texas foster homes until adopted.

Breed Disclaimer:
Breed is our best estimate based on the puppy’s appearance and, when known, the mother’s appearance. Fathers are rarely known, and litters can have multiple fathers, meaning puppies may be half-siblings with different breed mixes.
