Labrador Retriever and Pit Bull Terrier Dogs Available for Adoption

They say one person’s trash is another person’s treasure, and PATRICIA is the sparkling proof!

Patricia, lovingly called Pattie by her foster/rescue family, was found abandoned at a junkyard in Cayey, Puerto Rico when her rescuer was literally going there to throw out her own trash. We know she was someone's pet in some fashion because she was wearing a collar. The day she was rescued, she simply trotted up to her rescuers as if to say, "I’m ready to go home now." (and yes, we have that video to show you!). And home she went. After a lifetime of raising litters of puppies, it is finally Pattie’s turn to be the baby!

Pattie is quite simply the most grateful and well-behaved dog you will ever meet! TRULY. She is a DREAM DOG! She would be a perfect dog for a first time dog owner as well.

Pattie is 34.2 lbs and ~2-3 years old. She is a gorgeous blue gray color. We think she's a Lab/Pittie mix.

She is naturally house-trained, crate-trained, and a dream on a leash. She didn't even need to be proactively taught any of this! She is the ultimate work -from-home companion. She is low-to-medium energy and perfectly happy to snooze and laze by your side for a lot of the day. In fact, if you aren't ready to start your day, Pattie isn't either! She will work around your schedule. Tell her to "go to (her) place," and she will happily sleep in with you until whenever you decide to wake up. When you are ready for a walk, she will be too and will happily and energetically go out. She's very adaptable.

Pattie is incredibly intelligent. She mastered "sit," "paw," and "lay down" within minutes (she's bi-lingual so English or Spanish will be just fine ;) ) She is so smart that she occasionally shows a flash of what we call "intelligent defiance" with a twinkle in her eye - a reminder that she has a wonderful, individual personality.

Pattie is a friend to all dogs, regardless of their size or age. In Puerto Rico, before flying to NYC, she was with 4 other dogs of various sizes (a Pomeranian, 2 labs and a senior Chihuahua). She seems to have made particular friends with the senior chi and they like to lie in their pjs together which is the cutest thing we may have ever seen.

While she hasn’t officially met kids yet in her home, her respectful and gentle nature suggests she would do well with children who are looking for a dog to hug and pet. She is friendly to all, including children, on her walks.

She is still learning how to "dog" when it comes to toys, but she’s already a pro at playtime with humans and other dogs, showing off her adorable play bow when she knows it’s time for fun.

Pattie is a star on car rides and loves going on adventures, though she’ll never demand more than you're ready to give. She also has no separation anxiety and zero interest in destroying things—she’s just happy to be part of the family. Remember when we said she is a dream dog?

Pattie is a voracious eater! To keep her skin and tummy happy, she enjoys a chicken-free diet (she’s a big fan of lamb and rice kibble).

Pattie is looking for a family who will cherish her as much as she cherishes them. In return, she promises to be the sweetest, most respectful, and affectionate companion you’ve ever had. And no, AI didn't write this post! We genuinely mean every word we've written about her. She is truly the best and easiest dog and anyone would be lucky to have her. She is the 10 karat diamond you accidentally stumble upon while you just happen to be throwing out your trash.

She is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, heartworm negative, parasite free and up to date on preventatives. She has been fully vetted!
