🇺🇸
New Orleans, Louisiana

female, medium, young
DESCRIPTION
Hey there, Delilah...
What's it like in your forever home? We like to think it's quiet, safe... and full of love
This 10-month-old, 32 lb Lab mix is the kind of girl who makes the world feel a little softer. Gentle eyes, a tender heart, and a quiet way of leaning into you like she's been yours all along-Delilah is something special.
She's spayed, heartworm positive (treatment already started and covered!), and just waiting for the day she can leave all the uncertainty behind and finally settle into a place she belongs.
Delilah is:
Dog-friendly and social
Easygoing and well-mannered
Walking nicely on a leash
Crate trained
Doing wonderfully with house training in her foster home with frequent potty breaks
Cats: TBD
Calm, happy, and so easy to love
She enjoys the simple things-soft grass under her feet, a little sunshine, and being close to her people.
She's not the loudest in the room. She won't demand your attention.
But she'll stay close... quietly choosing you, over and over again.
A thousand miles won't mean a thing...
...when she's finally right where she's meant to be.
All she needs is a place to land. A person to love.
A home to call hers.
If you've been waiting for a sign-this is it.
Delilah is your girl.

Due to the high volume of introductions/questions received we ask you to submit an application (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

Any breed labels used by Take Paws Rescue, its employees/volunteers, or on vet records provided cannot be guaranteed. Breed labels are given based on information obtained during intake and/or best guesses based on appearance and/or temperament of the dogs and Take Paws Rescue gives no assurance to the accuracy of these labels. Labels are necessary for postings to many animal networking sites, such as our website, Chewy, Pet Finder, and others. These are in no way a guarantee. Additionally, exact age and potential size cannot be guaranteed.
***Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters across the South, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it's the perfect match!
ABOUT: LABRADOR RETRIEVER DOG BREED
The Labrador Retriever is a popular and versatile dog breed known for its friendly demeanor and high intelligence. These dogs are often used as guide dogs for the visually impaired, search and rescue dogs, and excellent family pets. Labradors are known for their great sense of smell, strong build, and love of water, making them exceptional hunters and swimmers. With their loyal and loving nature, Labradors have rightfully earned their reputation as one of the most beloved dog breeds in the world.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
