Applying does not commit you to adopting this specific animal. We do not do same-day adoptions without a pre-approved adoption application already on file. Please give us a call for any questions about our adoption process! We are happy to help!
Our $70 adoption fee includes spay/neuter prior to adoption, age-appropriate vaccines, deworming, ID tag, heartworm test if over 6 months of age, one week of free Zoom-based dog training through GoodPup, and a microchip.
Please do not contact us through Petfinder. Due to the number of inquiries we receive, we recommend contacting us by phone at 662-846-1155 or by email at Jamie.grant@cityofclevelandms.com if you have a specific question about an animal. We will not schedule an adoption until an adopter has filled out an adoption application.
ABOUT: LABRADOR RETRIEVER DOG BREED
The Labrador Retriever is a popular and versatile dog breed known for its friendly demeanor and high intelligence. These dogs are often used as guide dogs for the visually impaired, search and rescue dogs, and excellent family pets. Labradors are known for their great sense of smell, strong build, and love of water, making them exceptional hunters and swimmers. With their loyal and loving nature, Labradors have rightfully earned their reputation as one of the most beloved dog breeds in the world.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
