Labrador Retriever and Golden Retriever Dogs Available for Adoption

Marley is a 1yr old, 75 lb golden mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. She came to us after her elderly owners made the loving but difficult decision to rehome her, realizing they couldn't give her the time and attention a young, energetic dog deserves.

The good news is all the hard work of a younger dog is all ready done! Marley is fully crate trained and 100% potty trained. She absolutely loves toys, especially playing fetch, and is happiest when she has something to carry around - like her favorite blanket! One of her favorite ways to show affection is squeezing between your legs for lots of butt scratches.

She is currently being fostered with another dog who isn't particularly playful, and while they've adjusted well and coexist just fine, Marley would likely thrive with a more playful dog friend or as the only dog soaking up all the attention.

As she's settled into her foster home, Marley has shown a couple of quirks. When she gets very excited, she may do a little snarl or “smile,” which is just her way of expressing excitement. She also doesn't quite realize her size yet - so a home without small children would be best.
