Introducing Root! A very handsome and athletic boy, Root is looking for a person who can match his energy level. He LOVES toys, the more the better! He likes to have options to switch between, and he has been known to attempt to hold 2 tennis balls at once. He hasn’t quite mastered it yet, but he is nothing if not determined. Root also enjoys making new friends and learning new skills. He knows “sit,” “down”/“lay down,” and “shake,” and he enjoys puzzles and enrichment activities that allow him to work his busy brain, as well as his body.

Based on a previous living experience, Root is looking for a home without small children. Because he originally came in as a stray, it is unknown whether or not he has experience living with other dogs or cats.

Adoptions are free and include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home.
