DESCRIPTION

Jinu is one of those dogs that literally everyone who meets him falls for him. The widest variety of people have been completely smitten with this boy within 5 minutes of meeting him, I understand it but just know this- he is a bit of the heart stealing type. Why? Well goodness, the way he looks at you, his calm presence, his gorgeous coat, the innocence. It’s the whole package- Jinu has it!

Take a look for yourself, I think you’ll know what we mean- https://youtu.be/BDPDL6AfZWA

Jinu is a beautiful Shepherd/Lab mix with the softest, sunset-orange and rich brown fur, kind eyes, and the sweetest soul. He is estimated to be a year old, weighs 57 lbs currently and although he has some growing still to do, we do not anticipate he is going to be very big once fully grown. Of course, given he is a rescue we cannot guarantee age or breed.

At this age dogs are continuing to learn more and more everyday and Jinu is no exception. He is beginning to master his on-leash skills and he is off to a great start. We have been so impressed with his pace on leash, keeping it calm and strolling by your side versus pulling you down the block in a rush to get somewhere or smell something. This is great because Jinu’s favorite place is outside. He doesn't need to be on the go, he is happy to lay in the shade and watch the world go by. The comfort of a house is nice but this boy would best be described as outdoorsy. Jinu is best suited for a home with a yard or some dedicated outdoor space.

Although we haven’t heard his voice used in the house, he can be vocal on occasion when passing another dog, very much just a friendly hello, but between the potential vocalness and his love of the outdoors we know Jinu would be happiest in a house with a yard.
No matter where he is, Jinu enjoys the company of people and dogs alike. Watching him in playgroups is when I really knew he was something extra special. This boy has met a wide variety of dogs including some with behavior challenges and he is consistently polite, playful, and is wonderful at reading other dogs. He is the kind of dog who can get a shut-down dog to feel more comfortable or disarm a standoffish dog. His approach is light and friendly without being pushy, he brings the peace and makes everyone feel comfortable. Jinu loves his dog friends and will do best in a home with another bouncy friendly pup who can be both a playmate and a comforting companion. Jinu is also cat-friendly, showing curiosity and respect without chase, and from what we have seen, he could easily share his space with a dog-savvy cat.

Jinu is a gentle boy with so much love to give and he is the perfect age to learn the rhythm of your home and all the skills you would like to teach. No matter what, adopting Jinu means you are getting an adoring, loyal companion who checks in with his people, enjoys sharing quiet moments and will soak up all the pets. His gentle nature and innocent heart of gold is ready to bring a little peace, friendship, and unconditional love to you and yours!
