Lucy is an 11-month-old, 41-pound Lab mix with the sweetest, most easygoing personality you could hope for. She was found all alone behind a building and spent time in a temporary foster home before coming to us - and through it all, she has remained calm, gentle, and full of love.

This girl is wonderfully chill and laid back, making her an easy addition to just about any home. We believe she's house trained, and she's fantastic with other dogs and cats. Lucy is submissive, friendly, and greets everyone she meets with quiet sweetness.

She's healthy too - heartworm negative and negative for tick-borne diseases - so she's ready to start her new life right away.

Lucy even had a potential home before arriving, but the resident dog wasn't welcoming and barked in her face nonstop... and Lucy's response? Absolutely none. She simply stayed calm and kind the whole time. That's just who she is - a total sweetheart with a gentle soul.

Their keen intuition and strong bond with their owners make them wonderful family pets and reliable working dogs in tasks such as herding livestock or in search and rescue missions.
