CAFECITA MORNING NOON AND NIGHT

Labrador Retriever, Catahoula Leopard Dog
🇺🇸
Friendswood, Texas
April 6th
female, medium, adult

DESCRIPTION

Cafecita is the kind of dog who enters a room and immediately brightens everyone’s day without even trying. She is a master of settling, finding the nearest dog bed or cozy spot and making herself right at home with a graceful flop. But don’t let that calm exterior fool you once she’s comfortable, her silly side comes out in full force! Whether she’s rolling around on the floor or hopping onto the couch for a cuddle session, she’s all about spreading joy.

Keep scrolling to see Cafecita’s video, you won’t want to miss those adorable belly flops!

Cafecita is essentially a welcome committee in dog form, treating every stranger like a friend she just hasn't met yet. She brings a warm “hey it’s nice to meet you” vibe along with a wagging tail to everyone. True to her name Cafecita is the companion you want in the morning, noon and night (basically all the time). Whether you’re busy working from home or leaning into a lazy Sunday afternoon, Cafecita is right there, making life a little brighter just by being near you.

She recently met a 3 year old friend and was a total sweetheart! Cafecita is a gentle soul who knows how to listen to her own needs; when she’s finished with playtime, she simply wanders off to find a quiet nap spot. She is a natural family dog who is ready to bring a whole lot of happy to her forever home.

We think this gorgeous girl is a Lab mix, and that striking brindle coloring has us wondering if there isn't a little surprise breed mixed in there too! She currently weighs in at a sturdy and huggable 59 lbs. She’s what we call a big dog with a bigger heart or a slightly overgrown lap dog (she truly thinks she is). While she’s substantial enough for great adventures, she’s still soft and gentle enough for the best indoor snuggles. Of course, with any rescue, the breed is our best educated guess, but her 100% Good Girl status is a total fact!

When it comes to other dogs, Cafecita is a total socialite! She meets new dogs with a polite, curious pause almost like she’s digging through her memory and asking “ Wait, do I know you?” But the second she realizes, "Oh, wait! We’re friends now!" that shy exterior vanishes. Once she gives the green light, it’s game on! While she loves dogs of all sizes, she has a major soft spot for the littlest members of the pack. She loves a good "you can't catch me" chase around the yard. Her play style is pure comedy a mix of high speed laps and joyful bounces that are guaranteed to make you laugh. Whether she’s being the responsible leader of the pack or the silly instigator of a game of tag, Cafecita’s communication skills are top tier. If you’re looking for a dog who is as smart and nurturing as she is silly and sweet, Cafecita is ready to join your circle!

Is Cafecita a fan of feline friends? She hasn't told us her secrets just yet! When first meeting with a cat, she was a little unsure if she should offer a greeting or a game of tag. To make sure she’s fully prepared to share her personal bubble (and maybe eventually a nap spot) with a kitty, she’d love a supervised sleepover to ensure everyone is on the same page!

Cafecita is incredibly adaptable and would thrive in almost any setting! Because she has such a lovely "off switch" and walks like a dream on a leash, she could potentially be a wonderful apartment dog or thrive in a house with a yard. Not only is Cafecita a social butterfly, but she’s also a total professional when it comes to home life. She is fully potty trained no accidents here! She’s a lady who knows exactly where to handle her business. When it’s time to wind down, she is crate trained. She views her crate as her very own "private den", making it the perfect spot for her to recharge her batteries after a long day of being the goodest girl. Her ideal family is one that appreciates a dog who can go from "play mode" to "cuddle mode" in a heartbeat.

In short, Cafecita is a gentle, silly, and super sweet companion who is ready to fill your life with love. She is more than just a companion; she is a constant source of joy who is ready to fill your life with wagging tails and 24/7 devotion. While she’s already mastered the art of being a "good girl," she does have one special skill she’s excited to share: The Belly Rub. Cafecita is a true connoisseur of the tummy scratch and is more than happy to "mentor" you until you’ve mastered the perfect technique. If you have a hand available for scratching and a spot on the rug for a nap, Cafecita is ready to make your house a home!
