Jerri – The Scruffy-Faced Sunshine Girl You’ve Been Waiting For

Some dogs tug at your heart because of their past. Jerri will win you over because of her spirit. At just 9 months old and 35 pounds, Jerri is that perfect in-between size and is expected to grow into a lovely 45–50 pound adult. She has the sturdy build of a Lab, paired with the most irresistible scruffy black face — complete with wispy chin hairs that give her a touch of Irish Wolfhound charm. When the sunlight hits her sleek coat, she practically glows. Jerri and her brother (yes, Ben & Jerri!) came from a severely neglected situation in rural Tennessee where too many animals and not enough care was the daily reality. But here’s the beautiful part — Jerri didn’t let it define her. She is joyful. Open. Trusting. Ready.

She is a people-oriented girl who truly thrives on attention. You can see it in her eyes — she wants connection. She’s eager to learn, very food motivated, and already walking nicely on leash despite limited prior experience. With consistency and love, she is going to blossom into an incredible companion. She’s playful without being wild, affectionate without being clingy, and smart enough to pick up routines quickly. She’s working on crate training and is mostly housebroken — just the occasional puppy mistake as she adjusts to structure and stability. That’s all part of growing up.

Jerri isn’t looking for perfection. She’s looking for hers. Her person. Her couch. Her yard. Her forever. And when she finds it? She will love with everything she has.
