Meet Rosalita!

Remember the movie The Goonies? This litter is named after them and had a beginning that could’ve turned into a story just as rough. This sweet family was discovered living in an abandoned house, doing their best to survive in a place no puppies should have to grow up. Thankfully, we learned about their situation and stepped in just in time to change the ending of their story.

When we arrived, we found their mama too and safely caught her in a trap so she could be rescued… and sitting right beside her with his tail happily wagging was dad, patiently keeping watch over his girl. His loyalty was impossible to ignore, and of course we couldn’t leave anyone behind. The whole family made it to safety together.

Now Rosalita is ready to begin the best chapter of her life—one filled with cozy beds, belly rubs, and a family to call her own. At just 2.5 months old, Rosalita is exactly what you’d expect from a puppy. She’s happy, curious, playful, and always ready to explore the world around her. After a good round of puppy adventures, she’s also more than happy to curl up for a nap or settle in for some snuggles. Like most puppies her age, she’s a little mischievous in the most charming way and full of the kind of personality that keeps life interesting.

Rosalita will need a family who understands the full puppy package—the training, the patience, the occasional mess, and the goofy shenanigans that come with raising a young dog. But for someone ready for that lifelong commitment, the reward is a devoted companion who will grow up loving her people with her whole heart.

As for her breed mix, that’s a bit of a mystery worthy of the Goonies themselves. A DNA test would probably reveal a little bit of everything. You can see what mom and dad look like… although we can’t completely rule out the possibility that another suitor may have slipped into the mix along the way. ;) One thing we do know for certain: Rosalita is 100% adorable and ready to find a forever family of her own.

LOCATION & TRANSPORT:

This dog is currently in South Mississippi. Local and out-of-town adopters are welcome. For out of town adopters, we offer virtual meet-and-greets and can arrange transport to many states in the Northeast. (The $450 adoption fee includes transport to the city on this listing. Our transports run every 2-3 weeks to that location.) We cannot adopt to Rhode Island due to import restrictions.

VETTING:

All of our dogs are cleared by a licensed veterinarian for transport and arrive to their adopters spayed/neutered with age-appropriate vaccines completed and are microchipped. NOTE: We cannot guarantee breed mix or full grown size. Both are estimates based on physical characteristics and any known history.
