Handsome Mambo once had a family, but sadly he was dumped near a foster home in a rural area. What Mambo didn’t know was that this would become his lucky day—because his foster stepped in, brought him to safety, and gave him the chance he deserved. Mambo has settled in beautifully and is doing great in his foster home.
Mambo is a happy, friendly black Lab mix, around 12–18 months old, and a playful, goofy boy who brings joy wherever he goes. He’s house trained and crate trained, loves being around people, and does wonderful with children. He’s affectionate with his person and will happily be your sidekick—ready for adventures, playtime, and then curling up nearby when the day is done.
He’s also a total dog’s dog. Mambo is great with other dogs, loves a good game of chase, and even plays gently with the smaller dog in his foster home. He’s smart too—he already knows “sit” and “wait,” and he’s eager to keep learning.
You may notice Mambo has a slight head tilt to the right. His vet isn’t sure what caused it, but Mambo did have several broken teeth and needed dental work, including having some teeth removed. The dental specialist believes he may have experienced a past injury (possibly being kicked by a horse or struck), which could explain the broken teeth and head tilt.
But here’s the amazing part: none of that has dimmed Mambo’s spirit. Despite what he’s been through, he absolutely loves people, has a BIG heart, and is full of hope and happiness.
Mambo is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and weighs 52 lbs. He’s ready for a home that will give him the love, safety, and kindness he’s always deserved.
If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with a playful soul and a heart of gold, Mambo may be your perfect match.
