DESCRIPTION
sweet mama seeking her own humans! DANA NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!
Name: Dana Best Guess for Breed: Lab and beagle mix
Best Guess for Age: 2 years as of May 2026 SEX: Female
Approximate Weight: 24 lbs
Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!
Currently Living at: Puerto Rico shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here.
Special adoption considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think this pup would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure they can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.
Dana is Looking For: Her forever home! Dana is a sato - a dog fro Puerto Rico. She did an amazing job of raising her babies Ms. Samira, Mr. Robbie, Ms. Mel, Ms. Javadi, and Mr. Huckleberry to be great family pets and they're all headed off to get their forever homes too.
Dana is in her prime as a young dog and hasn't seen enough of the world - she's eager to get her own humans for sniffy walks and romps in parks and all the adventures her family can dream up. Most of all, though, she wants to know where she belongs, to be safe and loved all her days. In exchange she promises so much love and loyalty. What do you say>? Can you see her by your side?
What My Foster Says About Me: We will update this once she has spent time in foster care.
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
