Woody is the definition of a best friend dog. Whether you’re looking for a partner for a high stakes game of fetch or a dedicated shadow to follow you from the kitchen to the couch, Woody is your guy! He’s a total velcro dog who thrives on affection and human connection. He isn’t just looking for a house; he’s looking for a person to adore. While he’s always up for an adventure, he’s just as happy being a world class couch potato, resting his head on your lap while you binge watch your favorite shows.

This dapper gentleman is a Lab mix with a coat as golden as his personality! Woody clocks in at a sturdy 56 lbs, making him the perfect medium large size he’s big enough for some serious bear hugs, but compact enough to fit comfortably in the backseat for a trip to the park. Of course, with any rescue, his breed mix is our best "educated guess," but we are 100% certain he is 100% good boy!

While Woody is currently enjoying life in his foster home, he is more than ready to find his forever family! This social butterfly is a pro at running errands and handles himself like a complete gentleman in public settings. Woody is a "people person" who has done wonderfully meeting children (ages 8 and up). Woody isn't just a pretty face; he’s been working hard on his manners and is a star pupil:
• House Rules: He is fully potty trained and crate trained, making his transition into your home much smoother.
• Commands: He already knows the essentials, including "Wait" "Stay" and “Sit”.
Woody’s foster family says he is a dream to have around. If you’re looking for a well-behaved companion who is ready to hit the town or snuggle on the couch, Woody is your guy!


He is a superstar when it comes to other dogs! He has a very "go with the flow" energy. Whether he’s matching the high octane energy of a zoomie prone pup or respectfully giving a grumpy senior their space, Woody is just happy to be part of the crew. His personality is a mix of sunshine and springs. He has a "jumpy playful" style that is pure joy to watch. Think of him as a furry pogo stick! You’ll always see him coming thanks to that adorable curly tail! It’s constantly wagging, circling like a little helicopter blade of happiness. He loves to wrestle, romp, and engage in "big play," but he’s smart enough to know when to dial it back. If you’re looking for a dog with a zest for life, Woody is your guy.


While Woody loves almost everyone, he’s decided that cats are just a little too interesting for his taste. He’d prefer a feline free sanctuary where he doesn't have to worry about what those mysterious cats are doing. He’s looking for a home where he can focus all his love on his humans and his doggy friends.


Woody is the ultimate best of both worlds companion: an elite athlete with a chill soul. While his ideal home would feature a nice yard where he can showcase his Heisman winning fetch skills, he is relaxed enough to thrive in an apartment as long as he gets his walks. He is already a total pro at the basics great on leash, fully potty and crate trained. Woody’s most endearing quirk is his silly way of grabbing his paws with his mouth when he’s excited; it’s just his unique, charming way of saying, "Hey, look at me!" He is an easygoing guy ready to find a family who will appreciate his one of a kind personality.

We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop off locations, in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time, see photo updates, learn fun facts, connect with fellow adopters and fosters through our private Facebook event page!
Before the adoption is finalized, you will meet your pet through a video call, creating a fun and personalized experience!
The adoption fee is $1,200.00 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!
We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
