DESCRIPTION

Quincy is the kind of dog who just wants to be close to his people ❤️
He’s 4 years old, 28 lb, and full of life. He was rescued from the Andong wildfire area and is now safe, warm, and patiently waiting for a home of his own.

At first, Quincy can be a little shy. Give him a treat and a minute, and he’ll be right by your side, following you from room to room like a loyal little shadow. He bonds quickly and loves attention, no matter who you are.

He’s an active boy (energy 4/5) who enjoys walks, playtime, and just being involved in your day. He’s interested in other dogs and wants to interact, but he’s a bit awkward and still learning his social skills. He is not aggressive at all, just unsure sometimes. With guidance, he’ll gain confidence. And if he’s the only dog in the home, he truly shines as a total social butterfly with his humans.

At home, Quincy is easy to live with. No separation anxiety, happy to rest on the couch, and at night… he would very much vote for your bed. He’s about halfway house-trained for pee and fully for poop, and he’s crate trained too.
He does have a sensitive side. Quincy is prone to ear infections, so he’ll need regular ear care. He can also be nervous in the car and a bit unsure about baths, but he handles both with patience and support.

Quincy would do best with an active home that can continue his training and help him build confidence. Because he can get a little jumpy when excited, a home without very young kids would be best.
He’s sweet, affectionate, a little goofy (watch your socks), and ready to love someone completely.
If you’re looking for a dog who will truly be your dog… Quincy is waiting
