RESCUE STORY - I was rescued on November 17, 2025, from a severely neglected property in Pocheon, Korea. Inside the home, approximately 14 cats had been abandoned; many had already passed away or fled. Outdoors, three dogs—including myself—were tied to extremely short one-meter ropes, unable even to sit comfortably. The entire area was covered in waste, leaving all us animals living in unbearable and unsanitary conditions. Despite this environment, my rescuers say I showed a gentle and calm demeanor from the moment I was rescued. After arriving at Doremi Rescue, I adjusted quickly, welcomed human contact, and displayed steady emotional stability. Truly, my resilience is a miracle! I got tip top care and was healthy, fully vetted, and ready to find my forever family.
I came to Canada on January 13th. I adjusted pretty quickly to my new home in Maple Ridge, however my feline sibling is not happy with the new addition to his household. As such, I am on the hunt for my forever home again, truly due to no fault of my own! Here is what my foster mama has to say about me:
This sweet girl is full of happy energy and joy for life. She loves both walking and running, and is currently enjoying 2–3 outings a day. She walks beautifully on leash, is friendly with other dogs she meets, and comes home ready for some goofy, zoomie-filled fun that will absolutely make you laugh.
She's a smart cookie who responds very well to her name and already knows “sit” (especially when treats are involved! - video). She's making great progress with house training using crate routines, eats well, and is learning cues like “wait,” “come,” and “no.”
At home, she's affectionate and sensitive—often rolling over to show her tummy, especially when she wants reassurance. She's gaining confidence every day, proudly conquering things like doorways and elevator rides. Big girl moments!
She's bonding beautifully and thrives on praise, gentle voices, and lots of love. With her sweet nature, playful spirit, and eagerness to learn, she's going to make an incredible companion for an active, loving home.
TEMPERAMENT – I am described as a quiet, sweet, and easygoing dog with excellent social skills. I adapt pretty smoothly to new environments and remain calm, gentle, and well-mannered. I'm comfortable and very affectionate with women, however I can be a bit slower to approach men at first (although I don't show any big fear-based reactions). I am calm, polite, and relaxed when meeting new people (albeit a bit shy) and I am cooperative for grooming, baths, and vet care. I'm not an overly "barky" gal and I am dog and cat-friendly too! Truly, I'm such a peach and I deserve a loving home- I know I will flouruish with a loving family!
ENERGY LEVEL – Medium! I have a very "happy medium" level of energy - I am happy to go for a walk (or two or three hehe) and will play and get the zoomeis, but after that I'm more than happy to curl up and have a nap.
GETS ALONG WITH:
Kids – Unknown. I haven't had the opportunity to meet any kiddos yet.
Dogs – Yes! I am neutral, friendly, and so far have appeared non-reactive when meeting other dogs. I'm calm and tolerant of small dogs and puppies too.
Cats – I lived in a foster home with cats in Korea very successfully. In my current foster home in Canada, I have chased my cat sibling and he has hissed and swatted at me. I think maybe I just want to be friends, but I'm looking for an adopter who is able to navigate a dog/cat relationship and give me time to settle into a new rhythm. With time, I think I could live peacefully with a dog-savvy kitty.
PREY DRIVE - Medium. I have tried to chase some birds on my walks since arriving in BC. I'm not too sure how I'll react around squirrels/rabbits etc., so my adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise.
TRAINING:
Leash skills – I'm pretty good on a leash and walk nicely without pulling. Check out my video in Korea! And this video is me walkin' on leash in my foster home in Maple Ridge, BC. I'm such a pro!
House trained – Work in progress! My foster mom is crate training me to assist with my housetraining journey, as I had a few accidents inside when I first arrived. With time, frequent potty breaks and positive reinforcement, I'm sure I'll officially learn housetraining in my new home!
Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.
HEALTH NOTES:
I am spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. I came to Canada with proof of all my vaccines and test records.
I was tested for Heartworm etc. before flying to Canada.
NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter.
ADOPTION FEE:
My adoption fee is $840.00 CAD ($750.00 + GST & PST) including applicable taxes.
