This beautiful girl was rescued in Puerto Rico 🤍🐾

She was staying near a gas station, and one of the ladies who worked there reached out asking for help. Nina would always come around for food, then disappear for a little while… and then she would come back again 🤍🐾

She ran with a pack of four other dogs, so we had no idea what these puppies were going to look like. We knew they would be a mixture of at least one or two of those dogs… and they were 🤍🐾

She kept her distance and was very scared. We tracked her for a month and a half. One day she showed up fully pregnant and, for the first time, she let herself be captured 🤍🐾 I opened my home to her that day.

Out came six precious puppies 🤍🐾 We kept one of them before I even knew what direction my life was going to take. Nina was later adopted by a cousin of mine and has been loved ever since.

Nina has always had a slightly temperamental side, but she did well with their dog. Since then, a baby has joined the family, and Nina is not comfortable with the energy of a young child. Because of that, we need to find a new HOME for Miss Nina 🤍🐾

She is about seven years old, possibly a little less. We know she had babies once, so she was at least 8 or 9 months old at that time. She is very sweet, loyal, and bonds deeply with her person 🤍🐾

The best fit would be a home with no other dogs. If there is another dog, it would need to be a very slow, thoughtful introduction.
