Husky Dogs Available for Adoption

HENLEY (JA26-05)

Husky
🇺🇸
Peyton, Colorado
February 19th
female, medium, adult

DESCRIPTION

Meet Henley, a 5-year-old, 42-lb Husky with a gentle, easygoing personality.

Henley is gentle, laid back, friendly, and incredibly sweet. She enjoys being around people and gets along well with other dogs, making her a wonderful companion in a multi-dog home. She is a natural mentor dog, helping shyer dogs feel more comfortable and safe with her calm, reassuring presence. Henley also loves food, which makes her a great candidate for positive, reward-based training.

Henley has an old injury or possible birth defect affecting one of her front feet, but it doesn't slow her down or seem to bother her at all. She moves comfortably and enjoys her daily activities without issue. She also does very well for grooming and walks great on leash, making her an easy and pleasant dog to care for.

A meet and greet at the shelter is required to ensure Henley and her potential new family are a great fit.

If you're looking for a kind, steady companion who brings out the best in others, Henley could be the perfect addition to your home.
------
Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!
