Husky Dogs Available for Adoption

This goofy guy is WORF, a 10 year old male husky mix that was brought into HOPE with 9 others from a neglect situation. WORF is absolutely adorable and very, very sweet. He’s a gentle senior that has been nothing but a good boy since being here. He did come in with a UTI as well as eye issues that we are currently treating. We’re not sure if it was an injury to his eye, allergies or just genetics but one of his eyes is a bit cloudy and weepy. He is an older guy so it may be something he will deal with for the rest of his life but it doesn’t seem to bother or affect him at all. WORF does bark a lot in his kennel but he says he just wants to be out of it and hanging out with his humans instead. He’s also only ever known living outside with a bunch of other dogs so the shelter life is a little hard for him but he’s handling it the best he can until he finds his forever home.

WORF is underweight and is currently at about 50lbs but slowly gaining since being with us.

The husky breed is renowned for its striking appearance, characterized by piercing eyes and a thick double coat. These medium sized, energetic dogs are known for their friendly and outgoing personalities, making them wonderful companions for active families. Originally bred for sledding and endurance in cold climates, huskies are intelligent and independent, often displaying a strong prey drive. Proper training and regular exercise are crucial to keep these playful and social animals happy and well adjusted.
