Husky Dogs Available for Adoption

This sweet girl is SHADOW, an 8 year old female husky mix that was brought to HOPE along with 9 others from a neglect situation. The first day here SHADOW was pretty scared and nervous but since then she has really come out of her shell. She’s a petite gal and pretty mild tempered although we joke that she could be a circus dog because she’s really good at standing on her hind legs. We were honestly surprised that she is 8 years old because her personality and demeanor are that of a younger dog. SHADOW does seem to prefer her male dog friends more than females but that may change when she gets spayed.

SHADOW is underweight and currently sitting at around 31lbs but is slowly gaining since being with us.

The husky breed is renowned for its striking appearance, characterized by piercing eyes and a thick double coat. These medium sized, energetic dogs are known for their friendly and outgoing personalities, making them wonderful companions for active families. Originally bred for sledding and endurance in cold climates, huskies are intelligent and independent, often displaying a strong prey drive. Proper training and regular exercise are crucial to keep these playful and social animals happy and well adjusted.
