Smokey (A141240) is a 10-month-old AK Husky who weighed 61.6 pounds on intake! 02/23/26 These two kiddos are Braveheart and Smokey! They were surrendered to the shelter because their owner could no longer care for them. We unfortunately do not have much information on these two. They were described as shy but friendly dogs who prefer women. It is important that when meeting them, you approach in a fear-free fashion. Once they have made your acquaintance, we have found that they warm up very quickly! They have no known experience with children, so this is something to keep in mind. Both Braveheart and Smokey were said to do well with other dogs but have no experience with smaller critters like cats. Please ensure you are making slow, safe, and controlled introductions with all new potential friends. It was not indicated if these pups were kennel-trained or housebroken. They may need some reminders as they settle into their new home and routine. They were said to ride well in a vehicle and may enjoy going on adventures in the future! If you are interested in meeting Braveheart or Smokey, please let us know!
