Side Eye is a male Husky mix born on August 1, 2024, and he has quickly proven himself to be one of the easier fosters around. He keeps a clean kennel and clearly signals when he needs to go outside, showing great potential with house manners. While he's still learning his basic commands, he is very teachable—just in a few weeks,in his foster home, he has already learned to sit before being given his food, which shows how smart and food-motivated he can be.
Side Eye has been around kids in his previous home, though a home with older children would likely be the best fit due to his playful style. He tends to throw his paws while playing and enthusiastically slings toys around, sometimes accidentally smacking you or sending toys flying across the room.
When it comes to cats, Side Eye is very respectful and easygoing. He mostly ignores them, occasionally sniffing as they pass by, and has even been off-leash around them. Any chasing or pawing has been playful with no ill intent. With other dogs, he is generally submissive and friendly but a bit goofy. He enjoys standing or climbing over other dogs during play and responds to corrections by laying down—then happily trying again. He does especially well with dogs who enjoy wrestling and playful interaction.
Overall, Side Eye is a fun, sweet, and lovable young dog who already has great manners and just needs continued guidance and consistency to help him reach his full potential. He's going to make a wonderful companion in the right home.
All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary.
