DESCRIPTION
Meet Winks!
Winks is an extremely sweet, social, and affectionate big baby who truly believes he's a lap dog. He's very friendly with strangers and has done great around kids, soaking up all the love and attention he can get. This handsome guy is curious, loving, and always eager to be close to his people.
On leash, Winks does well staying by your side-though he may do a little zig-zagging when something interesting catches his nose. He's very handler-oriented and responds well to hand motions and guidance, even knows how to sit or stand between your legs when asked! Scratches under the chin or on the back of his neck are absolute favorites, and he's always down to cuddle.
Winks is currently housed with another pup in the shelter, a sign that he's got potential to live in a house with other dogs! He can be playful and active, but he's just as content chilling on the couch, enjoying some quality cuddle time. Bonus points: he's a fan of PetSmart pretzel treats!
If you're looking for a smart, affectionate, people-loving companion who will be your shadow and your snuggle buddy, Winks might just be your perfect match. This precious boy is ready to steal your heart ...
ABOUT: HUSKY DOG BREED
The husky breed is renowned for its striking appearance, characterized by piercing eyes and a thick double coat. These medium sized, energetic dogs are known for their friendly and outgoing personalities, making them wonderful companions for active families. Originally bred for sledding and endurance in cold climates, huskies are intelligent and independent, often displaying a strong prey drive. Proper training and regular exercise are crucial to keep these playful and social animals happy and well adjusted.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
