Max Montero - Husky and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Atlanta, Georgia

Max Monterro came into our care after his original owners were deported, leaving this sweet boy without the family who loved him. Now he’s searching for a new home—one that will love him just as much as they did.

Max is a fluffy, affectionate cuddle-bug with medium energy and a heart full of love. He adores treats and will happily bury his face in your apron or pockets to look for more. On walks, he does his own little thing—sometimes walking in small circles—but overall he’s easy to handle as long as you’re aware it won’t be your typical stroll.

Although Max has not been officially dog tested, he was polite when seeing another dog through the fence, offering a quick sniff before choosing to continue on his way. More than anything, Max is a gentle, wonderful boy who wants a soft place to land and a family to call his own.

If you’re looking for a sweet, loving companion with endless cuddles to give, Max Monterro is ready to meet you.

The husky breed is renowned for its striking appearance, characterized by piercing eyes and a thick double coat. These medium sized, energetic dogs are known for their friendly and outgoing personalities, making them wonderful companions for active families. Originally bred for sledding and endurance in cold climates, huskies are intelligent and independent, often displaying a strong prey drive. Proper training and regular exercise are crucial to keep these playful and social animals happy and well adjusted.

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
