DESCRIPTION
Hi there, I'm Fergus!
I'm a big, sweet, older dude looking for a fun and laidback family to hang out with. It's finally time for me to enjoy the good life!
My early life wasn't the best, and I've been through a rough time. I was rescued and then had to go through a bit of surgery to fix some things, but the kind folks here did a great job patching me up! Now that I'm feeling better, my spirits are up and I'm ready to become your new best friend.
While I'm a bit on the older side, I still got some pep to my step. I love going outside for walks, exploring a yard -- maybe with a gentle gallop -- and chasing after a ball or two (I'm still working on bringing it back to you, though).
I'm also a friendly guy. I love meeting new people. My big size and fluffy fur really make people want to give me pets and scratches, and I just can't get enough! I may even plop down and roll over for you!
I do know a few commands, like "Sit" and "Paw," and I'm always happy to accept some treats. I'm also housebroken already.
So, are you looking for a big and fluffy best buddy? Mr. Fergus, the gentle giant, is here waiting for you! ...
ABOUT: HUSKY DOG BREED
The husky breed is renowned for its striking appearance, characterized by piercing eyes and a thick double coat. These medium sized, energetic dogs are known for their friendly and outgoing personalities, making them wonderful companions for active families. Originally bred for sledding and endurance in cold climates, huskies are intelligent and independent, often displaying a strong prey drive. Proper training and regular exercise are crucial to keep these playful and social animals happy and well adjusted.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
