Kimber – 3 Year Old Husky / Shiba Mix

Meet Kimber, a 3-year-old Husky/Shiba mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart.

Weighing about 60 pounds, Kimber is an active, athletic girl who absolutely loves to run laps outside. If you’ve ever wanted your own personal zoomies champion, she’s your girl. She thrives with space to move and would love a home that enjoys outdoor time as much as she does.

True to her Husky side, Kimber is talkative and expressive. She will happily tell you how she’s feeling, especially if treats are involved (which she loves, by the way). Treats are definitely a plus in winning her over and continuing her training.

Despite her playful energy, Kimber is very sweet and affectionate. She enjoys being around her people and bonds well once she feels secure. She has a loving, loyal nature and just wants a place to finally call her own.

Kimber was sadly abandoned, but a very kind couple stepped in and rescued her. Unfortunately, they were unable to keep her long-term, and now she is searching for her true forever home.

At around 60 pounds and 3 years old, Kimber is past the puppy phase but still has plenty of playful spirit. She would do best in a home that understands active, intelligent breeds and can provide regular exercise, structure, and enrichment.

Originating from Japan, Shiba Inus are independent, alert, and spirited dogs. They are loyal to their families but can be reserved around strangers. Recognized for their bold and confident nature, Shiba Inus require consistent training and socialization to thrive. With a thick double coat and a distinct red, sesame, or black and tan coloration, Shiba Inus are charming companions for active individuals or families.
