Davis is looking for a forever home where he can finally rest, heal, and feel safe.
Davis is the husky mix who was rescued during the polar vortex after being found near death from hypothermia and ingesting rat poison. He was rushed to emergency care and spent two weeks fighting for his life. Although his owner was initially located and we even helped cover part of his medical bill, his owner ultimately disappeared and never came to get him. After repeated attempts by multiple agencies and the hospital to reunite him with his owner, Davis was legally surrendered back into the rescue's care. Through no fault of his own, he was left behind after surviving something incredibly traumatic.
Now safe in a temporary foster home, Davis is quiet, confused, and understandably shut down. He is a senior husky mix with a gentle, calm nature and has been non-reactive around other dogs. He doesn’t ask for much and is not looking for chaos or a busy environment. What he needs is a quiet, patient home where he can decompress at his own pace, feel warm, and begin to trust again.
After everything Davis has endured, he deserves peace, kindness, and the comfort of a steady home. He is looking for someone willing to give him a soft place to land and show him that love doesn’t disappear.
Adoption is $275, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home.
