*** AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION, FOSTER, or FOSTER TO ADOPT ***
Meet Bluebird! She is currently in our P.A.C.K. Program, a 9-week intensive program for routine obedience, agility, and handling training with a prison inmate trainer and she is almost ready to show off her new skills! Her new abilities include 'sit', 'down', 'shake' and more! New adopters should realize that PACK Program graduates will require regular, ongoing reinforcement of learned behaviors in order for them to become permanent.
Bluebird is a friendly, adaptable and confident dog. True to the husky breed, she loves to talk and sing the song of her people. This girl loves to wrestle with the other dogs. She's gotten along great with all the dogs she's met at PACK. She can have a higher energy play style.
While she's been in our care, she hasn't met a person she didn't like. She was a bit more hesitant around men but has gained confidence while in PACK. She will readily go up to people to say hi now.
Bluebird is kennel trained and house trained. She has shown some desire to chase birds and bunnies but did successfully live with a cat in her foster home. She wants to play with them. We can reintroduce her to cats again if someone is interested.
If you're looking for an active, loyal, and somewhat chatty pup, apply to meet Bluebird today! She'll graduate towards the middle of April and cannot wait to meet you!
ABOUT: HUSKY DOG BREED
The husky breed is renowned for its striking appearance, characterized by piercing eyes and a thick double coat. These medium sized, energetic dogs are known for their friendly and outgoing personalities, making them wonderful companions for active families. Originally bred for sledding and endurance in cold climates, huskies are intelligent and independent, often displaying a strong prey drive. Proper training and regular exercise are crucial to keep these playful and social animals happy and well adjusted.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
