Husky and Border Collie Dogs Available for Adoption

Meet Vanilla Bean and Bluebell! Their sweet mom was abandoned as a puppy at a hunting camp in the greater Houston area. The hunters who frequented the lodge did their best to care for her and make sure she was fed. Sadly, she later became pregnant, and that’s when our rescue was contacted to step in and help. Shortly after arriving at our rescue and settling into the safety of her foster home, Momma “Lacy” gave birth to seven healthy puppies — six girls and one boy.

They are gorgeous, little girls who are thriving in there foster care alongside their mom, siblings, several other dogs of all sizes, and even cats. Vanilla bean and Bluebell along with their littermates, have been beautifully socialized and are growing into happy, healthy pups who are ready to find their forever homes.

*Born on January 13, 2026
*Believed to be a mix of husky and border collie (mom is border collie mix)
*Expected to be medium (medium) size when fully grown
*Up to date on vaccinations
*Dog friendly
*Kid friendly
*Cat friendly

Both the husky breed and the border collie breed are considered intelligent, loyal and active breeds. Vanilla Bean and Bluebell will thrive best in a home that will provide them with both physical and mental activity on a daily basis. Also - due to their thick coat, they will need a home where they are able to spend most of their time indoors on hot summer days and they will also require several grooming sessions yearly to maintain their gorgeous coat.
