DESCRIPTION
About Yuki
Only nine months old, blue heeler/husky mix Yuki is a friendly, playful, shy, and energetic young pup who loves treats. Her high energy proved too much for the small children in her previous home, so she was surrendered to the shelter. She needs a family without small kids who can work with her on all aspects of obedience and other training. Yuki has been known to enjoy digging, so her family will also need to work with her on this. Yuki currently weighs about 35 pounds but still has some growing to do. Shelter staff believes she will grow to just under 50 pounds. She’s a real sweetie!

ABOUT: AUSTRALIAN CATTLE DOG BLUE HEELER DOG BREED
The Australian Cattle Dog, also known as the Blue Heeler, is a hardworking and intelligent breed originally developed in Australia for herding cattle. Renowned for their endurance and agility, these medium sized dogs have a striking blue or red speckled coat and alert, curious expression. With a strong herding instinct and boundless energy, they require mental stimulation and physical activity to thrive. Blue Heelers are loyal, protective, and make excellent companions for active individuals or families willing to provide the engagement and exercise they need.
The husky breed is renowned for its striking appearance, characterized by piercing eyes and a thick double coat. These medium sized, energetic dogs are known for their friendly and outgoing personalities, making them wonderful companions for active families. Originally bred for sledding and endurance in cold climates, huskies are intelligent and independent, often displaying a strong prey drive. Proper training and regular exercise are crucial to keep these playful and social animals happy and well adjusted.
