If you've spent time with anyone on our dog team this week, you will definitely have heard the term "hound girl!"(with enthusiasm) at least once in conversation. We kind of love her!
3 year old Cleo recently arrived all the way from Alabama, and boy are we glad she is here. From her long ears that flap in the wind when she runs, to the freckles covering her face - everything about her is CUTE! She's got a great personality to match - we've seen her be a bit shy at first, but warms up quickly and will be giving hand kisses in minutes.
Cleo is a "dog's dog" and comes to life in playgroup - she absolutely loves other dogs! We've seen her with smaller dogs, and larger dogs, and she doesn't discriminate; to Cleo, a dog is a dog, and they are all a friend to her. Hounds aren't always known for being quiet creatures, but Cleo has generally been quiet since we've been here. The only time we've really heard her bark is once when she got really excited in playgroup!
We can't believe how quiet and well behaved in the kennel she is. She's just a gem and we know she will be a great companion! We hope you hurry to meet her because she surely won't last long!
Cleo's adoption fee is $300. This animal is spayed, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
ABOUT: HOUND DOG BREED
The hound dog breed is a diverse group known for their incredible hunting abilities and keen sense of smell. These dogs are esteemed for their athleticism, endurance, and loyalty, making them excellent companions for active individuals and families alike. With a rich history of assisting hunters in tracking and trailing game, hounds possess a strong prey drive and a distinctive bay when on the hunt. Hounds come in various sizes and coat types, each with its unique characteristics, but they all share a remarkable intelligence and a friendly disposition.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
