Hound Dogs Available for Adoption in Rockaway, New Jersey

Elsa is a roughly 2-year-old, 50 lb girl with a story that’s as heartbreaking as it is important.

She was rescued from Louisiana after being found pregnant, and gave birth to 10 beautiful puppies. Tragically, they contracted parvovirus, and due to the shelter’s limited resources, all 10 had to be humanely euthanized. It’s a loss no dog should ever have to endure. The shelter reached out to us, hoping we could give Elsa the chance at the life she truly deserves—and of course, we said yes.

Despite everything she’s been through, Elsa is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and full of love. She seeks out attention, leans into you for comfort, and just wants to be close to her people. She is friendly with everyone she meets, does well with other dogs, and would likely be great with kids.

Elsa is ready for a fresh start—a home where she can finally be the one cared for, loved, and safe.

She is microchipped, spayed, and up to date on vaccines.
