Oakie was adopted from Suncoast Animal League over 4 years ago and was returned to us recently when his owner passed away. Oakie is handsome hound mix who tips the scales at an energetic 74lbs. Like a lot of Hound mixes, he is vocal and not afraid to voice his opinion. Oakie is potty trained and crate trained, however, he is not distructive when left alone in a home. Oakie loves his toys and enjoys playing catch with them. He also loves playing with other dogs and at Suncoast Animal League he is involved in play groups with other dogs.
Oakie has never been around cats and has very little interaction with kids. Okie listens very well and is very affectionate. Although he is very active he can quickly switch gears and can instantly become a very large couch potato. Oakie would also make someone a great running mate.
