Mildred's story is one of quiet strength and resilience. This beautiful 3–4-year-old hound mix came to a Kentucky shelter where she gave birth to 11 puppies—yes, eleven! Just two days later, she made her way to RESCUEDohio, where she could finally begin her journey toward a better life.

After everything she's been through, Mildred is ready for something new: a chance to just be Mildred.

Weighing around 65 pounds, this gentle girl has a calm, loving presence that makes her easy to adore. She's incredibly sweet and has been blossoming more each day as she settles into a life where she doesn't have to worry about caring for her babies anymore.

Mildred is potty trained and has great manners in the home. She hasn't needed to be crated, as she's not destructive and does well with free roam. She gets along nicely with other dogs—while she's not very playful at the moment, she coexists peacefully and would do well with a calm canine companion.

She's also been doing wonderfully with visitors, showing just how much she's learning to trust and enjoy new people.
