Meet Darrion!
Darrion is a three-month-old, suspected Beagle mix who seems to have been born with the soul of a tiny, thoughtful professor. While many puppies launch themselves into life like caffeinated rockets, Darrion prefers to take a moment, assess the situation, and make a sensible choice. His foster family calls him “Mr. Safety,” because this little guy is remarkably careful and thoughtful for a puppy.
That does not mean he is boring. He is sweet, gentle, and very much a puppy who enjoys playtime and attention. He just tends to think before he leaps. It is a refreshing quality in a small dog who is still figuring out the world.
Darrion is doing great in foster care. He gets along beautifully with other dogs, is friendly with kids, and even does well with cats. He was also born with an adorable little bobbed tail that wiggles enthusiastically when he sees his people.
He is already making good progress with house training and crate training, which tells us he is both smart and eager to learn. His future family should be prepared to continue that good work with basic training and puppy guidance so he can grow into the excellent dog he clearly wants to be.
Darrion would especially love a home with another dog who can show him the ropes and help build his confidence. Having a canine role model would make the process of growing up even more fun.
In short, Darrion is a thoughtful, sweet puppy with a good head on his shoulders, a wiggly bobtail, and a bright future ahead of him. All he needs now is a family ready to help him grow into the very good boy he is clearly destined to become.
