Maizie — The Sweet Survivor Looking for Her Match

Maizie is a resilient, bighearted girl who's come a long way from the day she arrived with a broken jaw and severe skin issues. Her jaw has healed, her fur is growing back (with a few patches still filling in), and her spirit is brighter than ever.

Now thriving in her foster home, Maizie has discovered soft rugs, cozy naps, and the joy of being loved. She's foodmotivated, smart, and trots straight into her crate when her bowl appears. She'll also remind you that counters are not safe from her excellent nose.

Maizie does well with calm, mediumtolarge dogs and is politely indifferent to cats. Little dogs are too exciting right now. She's housebroken, sleeps through the night, and enjoys her own space, but she does get vocal when left alone, so she'll need a family willing to help her build confidence.

She's strong on leash and will do best with a fenced yard, tieout, or a confident walker. Cold weather isn't her favorite, but with a coat and some encouragement she'll head out quickly.

Because she gets excited easily, Maizie is best suited for an adult only home or one with older kids.
