Meet Maxine & Lucas – Spotty, Sweet, and Full of Adventure!

Maxine and Lucas are an adorable brother-and-sister duo with the cutest black-and-white spots everywhere you look. These young puppies are full of life, love, and curiosity — and they're ready to bring all the joy to their forever home!

Both pups are wonderfully adventurous. They love romping in the snow, chasing each other through the yard, and stretching out to soak up the sunshine. Everything is a new discovery, and they're always excited to explore the world around them!

Maxine is the cuddler of the pair. She'll wiggle her way as close to you as possible, happiest when she's snuggled up and soaking in all the affection she can get. Lucas, on the other hand, is the little trailblazer. He's eager to pave the way toward new sights and smells, confidently checking things out — but don't worry, he always circles back for cuddles once he's satisfied his curiosity.

They're hold the perfect balance of playful energy and sweet affection. If you're looking for loving, happy, spotty sidekicks who will fill your days with laughter and your evenings with snuggles, Maxine and Lucas are ready to steal your heart.

The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.

The hound dog breed is a diverse group known for their incredible hunting abilities and keen sense of smell. These dogs are esteemed for their athleticism, endurance, and loyalty, making them excellent companions for active individuals and families alike. With a rich history of assisting hunters in tracking and trailing game, hounds possess a strong prey drive and a distinctive bay when on the hunt. Hounds come in various sizes and coat types, each with its unique characteristics, but they all share a remarkable intelligence and a friendly disposition.
