Hound Dogs Available for Adoption

Ellie is a sweet, high-energy hound who is happiest when she is right by your side. She is an incredibly affectionate dog who would much rather be leaning in for pets than sitting still for a photo, which explains the photos we've been able to take of her. At 40 pounds, she is a great size for many homes and has already proven to be social with other dogs, cats, and children.

Since she likely spent much of her life as an outdoor dog, Ellie is now looking for a family to help her navigate the transition to living indoors. She is already doing well with her kennel, so maintaining a crate training routine will be a helpful way to give her a sense of security. Because of her background and activity level, she would likely do best in a home with a fenced in yard where she can explore safely. She will thrive with an active adopter who can offer her consistent exercise and the patient guidance she needs to learn her new household boundaries.

Currently in a foster home in Chattanooga, TN, and available for transport to most locations within the continental United States.
