***Local adoption only: Cash needs to be adopted by a family in the Central Florida region (Orlando area) who will commit to taking him to his follow-up vet appointments with PPR's vetting partner. The cost of these appointments is covered in the adoption donation.***
Hi, I'm Cash, a handsome one-year-old Hound blend! I'm a shy boy who is still learning to trust people, but when I do (and I don't rush it), I'm affectionate in my own quiet way. I tend to be more anxious around men than women. My 35-pound frame is perfect for walks and adventures!
Favorite Things: Cash is a lover of cheese and peanut butter and well, food in general! He also enjoys leash walks and exploring the yard. He can take or leave toys, much preferring to hang out with his people. He's a bit of an introvert but loves having his trusted people nearby.
Training & Manners: Cash is house trained when let out regularly but will need a consistent schedule. He walks well on a leash, but continued training and practice will help him shine in his new neighborhood. His new family will also need to continue his training on basic commands and house manners but he's a smart boy and food motivated. He sleeps soundly in a secure space at night.
Health & Care: Cash still needs to have his neuter surgery and follow up vet appointments and his adopters must commit to taking him to the appointments and helping him through the surgery recovery process. The cost is covered in his adoption donation. Cash is heartworm negative, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. He'll need monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog and a simple routine of regular baths and nail trims will help this handsome guy continue to look and feel his best.
Other Animals: Cash does not yet have experience with other dogs or cats.
Children: This sweet but timid boy must be in an adult-only home.
Ideal Home: Cash will do best in a single-family home because he still has some separation anxiety and can be vocal when left alone. A home where someone is home more often than not is ideal for Cash but he can be left alone in the home for a few hours in a secure space.
Overall: If you're looking for a sweet companion and are willing to give him time to adjust to life in a safe environment, Cash might be the one for you. If you think he might be, visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to fill out an adoption application. If it seems like it could be a good match, his foster family will reach out with more information. His adoption donation is $350.
