Hi there, I’m Colt! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and I’m so happy to be safe and loved while I wait for my forever family. I’m in a wonderful foster home having fun while I wait to meet them. I’m feeling grateful, hopeful, and excited for this new chapter!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I love to play and run around with the dogs in my foster home and have a submissive nature, so if you have a nice dog at home already that likes to play, let’s meet! / I’m interested in the kitties in my foster home and play with one of them, but I keep my distance from the one that hisses at me. All cats are different, so I’m not sure how I would be with another kitty. / I haven’t met kids yet, but I do seem to have a nature that would likely enjoy them, so if you have kids, let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: My foster describes me as an amazing boy with a sweet, playful, and loving nature. I’m smart and eager to please, making me easy to guide and redirect, and I always want to do the right thing as I’m eager to please. I have the cutest doggie smile and ride quietly in the car like a pro. I was wonderfully calm for my bath and am just an all-around happy, friendly, and gentle pup. / Energy level: I have a moderate energy level with 2-3 bursts of energy a day and during those times it’s 6-8, but them I’m ready for a long nap – lol.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I know the ‘sit’, ‘leave it’, ‘come’, and ‘off’ commands so far and my foster reports that I’ll be easy to train. Mostly Mutts offers free lifetime training classes for all their adopted dogs, so let’s continue my training together. / In my foster home, I sleep well in my crate which is in their bedroom. / My potty manners have been great in my foster home as I’ll go to the door when I need to go out and I have been able to hold it all night as well.

• LIKES/DISLIKES: I love chew toys and Kongs, and I’m always happy to settle in next to you for some cozy couch snuggles. I also enjoy running around the yard as well as having fun playing fetch with my family! / The only thing I can think of as a dislike is not being in the same room with my family when I know they are home. And like all dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.

• MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.
