Hound and Pit Bull Terrier Dogs Available for Adoption

Meet Cosmo: Cosmo is a 3 month old (as of March 2026) hound / pit mix (best guess) that weighs 15 pounds. A mama dog and her litter were picked up by animal control in Arkansas and taken to a (high kill) shelter. 4 of the puppies were quickly adopted, but mama (Maple) and 3 remaining pups (Orion, Cosmo and Sirus) weren't immediately picked and found their way to the euthanasia list due to capacity issues. Our rescue heard about them and were able to step in and get them out of the shelter. Cosmo is being fostered in the south and would love to catch the next freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families! Cosmo and his brothers are all very friendly and playful pups! Cosmo gets along well with other dogs and loves people. Mama is very sweet and submissive and has been a wonderful, nurturing mom to her pups during all of these changes in locations. As a puppy, Cosmo will need some patience while he works on his house training. We would love for Cosmo to have a home with a fenced in yard for him to run and play freely. Cosmo is up to date on his puppy shots and will need to be neutered when age appropriate.
