Malachi is a Pointer Hound mix who came to us as a lost dog, and we believe he's about 3 years old and so ready to find his person. He's got that classic hunting breed brain always switched on, taking in every scent, sound, and squirrel sighting on his walks. Smart? Absolutely. Active? You bet. Boring? Never.

This boy has opinions and he's not shy about sharing them. Walks with staff and volunteers include thoughtful commentary from Malachi himself. He likes to stay engaged and involved in the world around him, which makes him such a fun companion for someone who appreciates an alert, intelligent dog.

And when the adventure winds down? He turns into the sweetest leaner you'll ever meet. Malachi loves affection and will gently melt into you for pets and reassurance. He's food motivated, eager to learn, and would thrive with continued training to channel all that brainpower into something productive.
