Havanese Dogs Available for Adoption

Louie is about 4 years old and around 16 pounds, possibly a Havanese mix. He can be a little nervous when you first meet him, but once he feels safe, his sweet personality really comes through, he’ll happily roll over for belly rubs and soak up the attention.

Louie has lived with multiple dogs and gets along well with them. Because he’s on the sensitive side, Louie would do best in a quieter, adult-only home where he can relax and feel secure. He’s looking for someone to bond with and be a loyal little companion. He’ll be neutered and fully vetted while in our care.

ADOPTION PROCESS:

1. You must begin our adoption process by applying to adopt on clawsadopt.org. Please do NOT inquire via Petfinder, social media messengers or in our comments. We will only be looking at applications!

2. Please make sure you fill out our adoption application COMPLETELY. We may not be able to respond to applications that are not completely filled out with the proper information. Side note: on our applications, the more details you provide = the better.

3. We prefer applicants live within 60 miles of Closter, NJ. (Applicants who live farther away may still apply. However, please note we do prioritize local applications as we try our best to serve our local community first.)

4. Please respect our organization, our volunteers and our process. As a reminder, our organization is a nonprofit. We receive no money from the state. We have no paid employees! This is a polite reminder that we are doing our best to make the right decisions for the animals in our care. Thank you.
